To accurately measure the extent of the affected area, a thorough pre-inspection is done using moisture measuring equipment.
We check the extent that the water has spread under the carpet as well as measuring any moisture in walls or other hard surfaces that may be affected.
Next we will determine if the carpet can be restored. We will undertake a ‘make safe’ if the carpet cannot be restored, then prepare a report stating the cause of the loss and the nature of damage for your insurer. We can also supply this report directly to your insurer if you prefer. If the carpet can be restored, we will prepare a report stating the extent of damage and have this available for your insurance company. E-Dry can manage all contact with your insurance company for you if you wish.
We will extract the water from the carpet and, if required, remove the underlay from the carpet to enable rapid drying.
An anti-microbial agent is then applied to the carpet to inhibit mould and bacterial growth. E-Dry will continually ensure your home will be safe for you and your family.
Drying equipment, including dehumidifying machines and high speed lineal fans, will be installed to rapidly dry the carpet and building structure. In most cases the carpet and building structure will be dry in 48 to 72 hours.
We will relay your carpet, with new underlay if necessary.
