What is the difference between steam cleaning and dry cleaning?
- Carpet steam cleaning uses water and detergents to try to flush the dirt out of the carpet whereas carpet dry cleaning uses dry cleaning solutions to break down the oily soils and stains so that they can be easily removed in the cleaning process. This generally means that carpet dry cleaning removes more stains than dry cleaning. Whilst both systems can achieve good results, carpet steam cleaning will generally leave the carpet very wet whilst dry cleaning will leave the carpet walk on dry.
Does that mean my carpets are going to be dry straight away?
- With the E-Dry carpet dry cleaning system, your carpet will generally be walk on dry immediately and completely dry within an hour or 2. The exact drying time will vary depending on the weather, the air-flow in the room, the type of carpet and the level of soiling.
Do you guarantee to remove the stains on my carpet?
- The E-Dry carpet dry cleaning system removes more stains than any other known process and we generally advise customers that we will be able to remove or significantly lighten 90% to 95% of stains. However, dye or acid based stains, such astexta, cordialor urine,act to re-dye the carpet or change the nature of the carpet fibre and often can’t be removed as part of the general cleaning process. In this case we offer aspecialized stain removal process to our customers. We have a wide range of stain removal solutions to remedy problems such as these, and in many cases we are able to lighten or totally remove stains that would otherwise be considered permanent . Given the time involved with such processes there is usually an additional charge for specialised stain removal.
How much do you charge?

Can a set of stairs be cleaned for the same price as a room?
- Because stairs are not flat, they must be cleaned by hand which is often much more time consuming than cleaning one room of carpet. Additionally, stairs are generally a traffic way in the house and suffer significant wear and soiling which requires extra attention in the cleaning process. Stairs are normally charged at $4 per step.
Will you move the furniture?
- Our technicians are happy to assist you with what they can. We ask that our customers tidy up and move the small things out of the way in the room to be cleaned. We will move lounges and bedsfrom side to side as we clean if they are on wheels or casters. We will work around beds that are not on wheels and heavy items such as wall units, large cabinets and all electrical items.
Can you take care of allergens?
- Carpet in the house tends to acts like a sink and thus absorbs large amounts of airborne allergens and pollutants. In this way, your carpet fills an important role in the home by taking pollutants and allergens out of the air and improving the indoor air quality. However, the sink gets full from time to time as the soils, pollutants and allergens build up in the carpet, and professional cleaning is required to empty the sink and remove the pollutants.
